Malaysia Airlines, a subsidiary of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), has received its first A330neo aircraft. This is the first of twenty A330-900s that MAG will lease from Avolon. The new aircraft sets a new benchmark for fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.
The A330neo boasts a premium two-class configuration with a total of 297 seats. Business class offers 28 fully-flat suites, while the redesigned economy cabin comfortably accommodates 269 passengers. Passengers can expect enhanced personal space, larger overhead bins, improved air quality, and state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment with high-speed Wi-Fi.
Malaysia Airlines plans to utilize the A330neo on various routes across Asia and the Pacific, as well as select Middle Eastern destinations. This acquisition makes MAG the 20th airline globally to operate the fuel-efficient A330neo. Airbus has already delivered over 140 A330neo aircraft worldwide, a testament to the aircraft’s superior efficiency.
This significant addition to Malaysia Airlines’ fleet marks a major step towards modernizing its services and enhancing the overall passenger experience.
