Apple Music unveiled its highly anticipated 2024 Replay, offering users a personalized journey through their listening habits of the past year. The feature, released on December 3rd, 2024, showcases users’ top songs, albums, and artists, providing a comprehensive look at their musical preferences. This year’s Replay boasts enhanced functionality, moving beyond the traditional Top 100 to include Top 500 and Top 1000 listener lists for favourite artists and genres. Users can now also track their longest listening streaks, relive their music month by month, and discover the date they first played their top songs.
The 2024 Replay isn’t just about personal listening data; Apple also released its official Year-End Charts, highlighting the year’s biggest hits based on streams, Shazam tags, and radio play. Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” topped the global streams chart, followed by Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso”. Taylor Swift’s enduring popularity saw “Cruel Summer” secure a spot in the top five.
Beyond the charts, Apple Music celebrated a landmark year, noting a record number of female artists on the global year-end charts and a surge in global genre popularity. Many artists who previously hadn’t featured in year-end charts made significant impacts in 2024.
Accessing your 2024 Replay is straightforward. iPhone users with iOS 18.1 can find it within the Apple Music app. Users of older iOS versions, or those using desktop, can access their Replay via replay.music.apple.com.
