On Sunday morning, a single-vehicle accident in South Auckland resulted in one fatality. Emergency services responded to the incident on Hyperion Drive in Randwick Park around 7:00 AM. A second individual sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the scene. St. John Ambulance dispatched two ambulances and two rapid response units to the location. Following the accident, Hyperion Drive was temporarily closed but has since reopened to traffic.
