Malaysia Airlines, a subsidiary of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), has received its first A330neo aircraft. This is the first of 20 A330-900s that MAG will lease from Avolon. The new aircraft boasts improved fuel efficiency and an enhanced passenger experience.
The A330neo features a premium two-class configuration with a total of 297 seats. Business class offers 28 fully flat suites, while the economy cabin provides 269 seats. Passengers can look forward to more spacious seating, larger overhead bins, better air quality, and state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment with high-speed Wi-Fi.
Malaysia Airlines plans to utilize the A330neo on various routes throughout Asia and the Pacific regions, as well as select Middle Eastern destinations. This acquisition marks MAG as the 20th airline globally to operate the fuel-efficient A330neo, joining a growing list of international carriers. Airbus has already delivered over 140 A330neo aircraft worldwide, highlighting the model’s exceptional efficiency in its category.
