Saoirse, who captured the nation’s heart with her appearance on the show in 2020 alongside Ryan Tubridy, left an enduring legacy of kindness and courage.

Roseanna and Ollie spoke with host Patrick Kielty about Saoirse’s inspiring life and the launch of this year’s Toy Show Appeal, an initiative inspired by Saoirse’s own journey. Saoirse’s battle with cancer began in 2019, and despite facing four diagnoses over four years, she remained remarkably positive and determined. She passed away in March at the age of 12.

Roseanna expressed immense pride in her daughter, emphasizing Saoirse’s unwavering spirit and refusal to let cancer define her. Ollie spoke openly about the importance of addressing grief, emphasizing the strength in seeking help and support through counselling. The couple expressed gratitude for the outpouring of public support following Saoirse’s death, stating that the love and care shown by others provided them with much needed comfort.
